Anthony David Gonzalez was a tight end in American football who played for the National Football League. He spent 17 years in the field. Regarded as one of the best tight ends in history, he is the league's top player in reception yards and receiving yards for a tight-end, and is ranked third overall in receptions
Tony Gonzalez is currently a FOX studio analyst for the studio. Since the 2017 NFL season began, Gonzalez has been a fixture for FOX NFL KICKOFF, FOX's hour-long NFL pregame show that airs prior to FOX NFL Sunday. It airs every Sunday at 11:15 AM ET during the NFL season.
Gonzalez's claim to be retiring in the NFL at the end of 2013 is not the case. On March 15 2013 Gonzalez was signed by the Falcons a 2-year contract for $14 million. Randy Moss announced his retirement in 2012 in 2012, and Gonzalez (37 year old) spent last season as an NFL's most prolific receiver.
